Winter testing insights for autonomous vehicles

The AllDrive project, which recently concluded after four years, investigated how autonomous heavy-duty vehicles could safely operate in challenging weather conditions, including heavy rain and snow.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology and ITRL, collaborated together with Scania, Luleå University of Technology and Klimator, on the AllDrive research project to investigate how autonomous heavy vehicles can better understand and adapt to challenging road conditions. Using a Scania autonomous research vehicle, the project explored how available road grip could be estimated to support vehicle decision-making.
