Join the UIDC design competition!

Published Sep 26, 2019

Are you a student in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, GIS or similar? Would you like the chance to do a real-life development project, and compete for a $5,000 cash pot and trip to the US?

KTH ITRL are now looking for students to enter the Urban International Design Competition 2019.

What is UIDC?

An international planning and design contest for students.

How does it work?

Teams from all over the world will team up with cities and industry and present their vision how we can lower greenhouse gas emissions and transition to more sustainable cities by implementing shared autonomous vehicles in a chosen city.

Each team will also get free access to 3D software to visualize their project (no prior knowledge needed, all training will be provided).

Who can apply?

  • You are in your second year of University or beyond
  • You are studying e.g. Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Studies, GIS or any other relevant discipline
  • You are happy to put in around 80 hours total as a team, from now to February
  • You are interested in doing a project on sustainable, autonomous transportation!

Don’t miss this opportunity! You can apply as an individual or as a team. We will assist individual students in forming a team.

Last date to register is October 15th 2019.
