Hyperloop technical presentation

Published Nov 30, 2015

Hyperloop is a conceptual high-speed transportation system put forward by entrepreneur Elon Musk (Tesla Motors, Space X), incorporating reduced-pressure tubes in which pressurised capsules ride on an air cushion at speeds higher than 1000 km/h.

Since its conception, it has been hyped by the tech industry and disregarded by the transport industry, while companies not related to Musk have been created in order to gather funding and try to build the necessary hardware, i.e. Hyperloop Transport Technologies and Hyperloop Technologies. The already consolidated Space X is also building a test track for a pod building competition.

Monday 23rd of November 17:15h, Josh Giegel (Vice President of Design and Analysis of Hyperloop Technologies) gave a technical presentation about Hyperloop and Hyperloop Technologies at the Integrated Transport Research Labs (ITRL) at KTH.
