Book chapter publication: where is AI going to take us?
ITRL Director Anna Pernestål Brenden has recently been part of writing a report about life with artificial intelligence together with the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research. She wrote a chapter on transport and artificial intelligence.
In this book chapter, the future of AI and self-driving vehicles is put in perspective with ITRL’s project on future scenarios for the development of self-driving vehicles in Sweden and discusses the challenges linked to the future implementation of self-driving vehicles in traffic.
In the recent years the conditions for vehicles development of self-driving vehicles have come into place, making it possible to develop vehicles that are more and more autonomous. Self-driving vehicles are important in making Artificial Intelligence go forward. Indeed, AI and self-driving vehicles have the potential to change drastically the way we travel and transport goods and how cities and societies function.
