The System Dynamics Society’s Transportation Special Interest Group (T-SIG) successfully hosted its 8th Annual Workshop on February 19–20, 2026, at KTH Royal Institute of Technology’s Integrated Transport Research Lab in Stockholm, Sweden.

The event drew strong international participation, reflecting the growing global community applying systems thinking to transport challenges. Discussions spanned freight and logistics, decarbonisation, sustainable mobility, and urban transport planning.

This year introduced a new “Full Paper with Dialogue” format, pairing each presenter with a discussant to foster deeper exchange of ideas and feedback, which was warmly received by both authors and participants. As one attendee noted, “Very nice open discussions, interesting participants and research, good timekeeping.”

Participants praised the high quality of discussions, valuable networking opportunities, and welcoming atmosphere. The workshop continues to serve as an important meeting point for transport researchers and systems thinkers worldwide.
