KTH Hyperloop: design concept for the SpaceX pod Competition 2019

The Hyperloop Pod competition is an international competition that was launched by SpaceX in 2015. It challenges student teams all over the world with designing and developing a pod prototype for high-speed transportation technology.

Time: Tue 2018-09-11 08.30

Location: ITRL, Drottning Kristinas Väg 40 Stockholm, Sweden 10044

Participating: KTH Hyperloop team

SpaceX Hyperloop wants to create a new option for super fast travel by using pods travelling inside a tube with very low air pressure and resistance.

A team of students and researchers from KTH have been working to develop a hyperloop pod concept at ITRL, KTH. As Sweden’s first student Hyperloop team, their primary goal is to compete in the upcoming SpaceX hyperloop pod competition  in July 2019. In order to do so, they spent their summer exploring novel concepts to come up with a concept design.

At this seminar you will have the chance to hear about their design approach, giving you a better insight of their pod design and its subsystems. It is a mid design review and the design will go through further iterations before they finalise it in december.

The event is free of charge but you must register to participate. Please register by 7th of September
Vegetarian breakfast will be served

This seminar will not be streamed live on our Facebook page  since the proposed design will be used for a competition. The video from the seminar will be made available after the competition is finished.
