How can gaming technology be used to better understand, communicate and implement future transportation?

Self-driving vehicles are on the rise, and shared transportation technologies are attracting attention among a growing number of countries around the world. With the potential to reduce emissions and operating cost whilst still increasing mobility and on-demand access, it is easy to understand why these technologies are becoming attractive. But with new opportunities, new challenges and questions arise.

Time: Tue 2020-05-19 08.30 - 09.30

Location: Zoom Webinar (see registration details below)

Participating: Christer Lindström (4Dialog)

- What will self-driving transit systems look like and how will they integrate into the current urban environment?

- How will people react to and use new modes of transit?

- How do we mitigate risks, and better involve necessary stakeholders early in the process?

- What will the future look like?

In this seminar, 4Dialog will discuss visualizations and explain how 4D and gaming technology can be used to make the future easy to grasp.

About

4Dialog is a Swedish/American tech company specialized in gaming technology for advanced visualizations of urban development and transportation projects. Delivering 4D simulation models – a virtual counterpart of a physical site including buildings, terrain, infrastructure, vegetation and time simulations – new buildings and transit systems are visualized in an easy to grasp, highly detailed, life-like environment. The technology helps better communicate new ideas and developments, such as autonomous transit, geofencing, control systems and all types of building projects, in a way that is easy to understand and relate to. 4Dialog has extensive experience within shared transport and autonomous transit simulations. They are also the driving force behind UIDC, an international student design competition working to ease the implementation of sustainable transit solutions.

Speaker
