As we face grand societal and environmental challenges, the current logic of our industrial systems, including the transport sector seem to face radical changes. What is the nature of these changes? How do disruptive innovations come about? How can organizations manage these shifts?

Technological innovations in the fields of electrification and automation enable transitions to our desired sustainable future. However, such innovations risk triggering a radical shift that may disrupt leading organizations. The current business models of leading organizations are particularly susceptible to pressure. 

This presentation speaks to these challenges and provides stories from the auto and other industries, taking both theory and practice perspectives on transitions, business models, and business model innovation. The presentation concludes with tips for organizations in the midst of this shift.
