5G Ride – Control Tower
Develop and test technology to create functions in the control tower for safe implementation of driverless vehicles on public roads.
Aim
This project aims to increase safety and conditions for the implementation of driverless vehicles on public roads in a safe and secure manner.
In order to be able to implement driverless vehicles in a safe and secure way on public roads, the following must be available:
1. Control tower functionality with validated digital checklist to ensure that predetermined routes can be driven with connected driverless vehicles. Monitoring and safety measures in critical situations.
2. Connection via network that is secure and fast enough for critical situations.
The project partners will jointly develop and test technology and in this deliver both of the above points to create functions in the control tower for safe implementation in public transport.
